Family Picture

This is the most recent family picture that we have. It was taken this August when we were in line for The Haunted Mansion at Disneyland. We all went in and nobody cried.

I chose to put this picture in because it is a more accurate depiction of my children and their behavior as opposed to the portraits to the right. They are such show-offs!!

Summer 2008

This summer has been awesome! I (Mindy) went to Thailand and Hong Kong. My parents took my sister and I. It was so much fun! We saw lots of cool things! The Hong Kong temple is amazing! In Hong Kong everyone lives in high rise apartments, there is no such thing as a house. If you ever have a chance to go to Hong Kong you should go. It is one of the most beautiful places in the world.

Mike and I also took the kids to California. Mike's parents live there and we stayed with them. Mike's brother and sisters were there with their spouses and children. They live all over the country, and so it was so fun to see them. We took the kids to Disneyland! It was hot, everything was way overpriced, and we spent a lot of time waiting in lines. However the kids had a lot of fun and that's what matters. Our son Spencer who is seven went on every ride no matter how scary it was. We were quite proud! We also went to the beach. Our two oldest kids (Spencer and Jake) learned how to boogie board. They were awesome!

The rest of the summer was spent at the Blanding Pool or at home recovering from the vacations.

School is back in session! Yea! I'm ready! However that means I'm back at work too (I teach 1/2 day Kindergarten). Jake is five now and had his first day of Kindergarten. He hated it, and said they didn't get to play. He is very depressed he has to go there five days a week. I hope we can change his attitude or this is going to be a long year. Spencer is seven and started second grade. He is very social and so he is glad to be back. Bailey will turn two in September. She is so funny. She loves attention and will do anything to get it.
